Pelican Lutheran Church
Christ Given for You
Why the Pelican?
From the earliest centuries of the Church, the pelican has been a symbol of Christ, who gives His own body and blood for the life of the world. As the pelican feeds her young with her own flesh, so Christ feeds His Church with His true Body and Blood in the Holy Sacrament.
